Hacking Printers to Make Clothing

As many of you may or may not know our own Guy Magnificent runs a print shop so he has access to the large screen printing equipment professionals use that he uses to makes his own clothing.

My personal approach when I owned the skate shop was to use homemade cardboard stencils, masking tape and spray paint. It works for skaters but may not be for everyone.

There are in fact lots of DIY ways to make your own "screen printed" shirts but here's a new one; an actual modified inkjet printer.

Having worked at HP and knowing how expensive ink is, I can't imagine this being the most cost effective way to make t shirts (spray paint is so much cheaper). I guess is you were hacking a printer anyway you could use the super cheap ink cartridges and refill them with the even cheaper ink or maybe refill them with your own ink (?).

Maybe you could use this awesome Lego printer with markers. I'd worry about bleeding though.

Adidas Star Wars Gear Seen in the Wild

You may recall a post I did a while ago about Adidas Original Star Wars series. They were limited edition and you could only buy them in stores and they sold out the minute they hit the shelves in the US. Apparently they haven't sold out so quickly in the US.
