the Atrophy of NASA

Media_httpwwwnasagovi_fjsbx
When the Obama administration announced that the Constellation Space Program was being canceled they also announced that NASA would focus on "technology" in the immediate future. While I love tech as much as the next guy (although I do love space more) it is an extremely vague term. Without the dream of human spaceflight to pursue the genus at NASA will atrophy, costing the United States more than jobs. It will cost us the ambition and ingenuity that NASA not only have, but stand for. My generation may never see a man walk on the moon. And without that what will inspire the next generation of rocket scientists? It is mans destiny to reach for the stars regardless if he ever touches them or not. Hopefully NASA studying Prius car brakes isn't all that we have to look forward to. If so the nations rocket scientists will soon be out there competing for your job.
